How do I enter pairs?

Separate each pair with |, for example: Sun | A star that lights our world. Add 2–12 pairs with up to 45 characters on each side. Each item and answer must be unique.

What changes with difficulty?

Easy shows the first matching letter. Medium keeps your left column in order but shuffles answers without hints. Hard shuffles both columns. Your wording does not change.

How do students answer?

Write the matching answer letter beside each numbered item. Use every answer once. The answer key fills in all letters.

Are the meanings checked automatically?

No. You provide the correct pairs. Review your wording and avoid answers that could reasonably match more than one item.

Can I save and export?

Save current puzzle preserves the exact column order and answer key on this browser and device. PDF and Print include a worksheet and separate key. PNG exports the current preview. Saved matching worksheets also work in My Puzzle Book Maker.
