MY PUZZLE KIT
Privacy policy
How Habiba Arts Ltd handles information when you use My Puzzle Kit.
Effective 20 September 2026
Who we are
Habiba Arts Ltd is the controller responsible for My Puzzle Kit. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17444310. Our registered office is Initial Business Centre, Unit 7 Wilsons Business Park, Manchester, United Kingdom, M40 8WN.
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@mypuzzlekit.com.
Information handled by the puzzle tools
The puzzle makers work in your browser. Drafts remain on your device. When you are signed in, saved puzzles, word lists, clues, puzzle settings and collection names are also stored with your account so your library can appear on your other devices.
Local storage lets the service remember a draft and keep a working copy of your saved library. You can remove saved puzzles inside the service or clear the website’s stored data through your browser. Removing a puzzle while signed in also updates your online library.
Information we may receive
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. Please remove learners’ names and other unnecessary personal information before sending examples or screenshots.
Our hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, time and security events to deliver, maintain and protect the website.
Why we use information
We use contact information to answer questions, provide support and respond to business enquiries. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, or on steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
Technical information is processed where necessary for our legitimate interests in providing a reliable service, preventing misuse and maintaining security. With your consent, we collect first-party page-view analytics and use Google Analytics to measure pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, referring sources and interactions such as scrolling and outbound clicks. We do not send puzzle content to analytics or use Google Analytics advertising features. You can reject optional analytics in the cookie banner.
How long information is kept
Browser-local drafts remain on your device until you delete them, clear site data or remove the browser profile. Account-synced saved puzzles remain until you remove them from your library or ask us to delete your account data. Downloaded PDFs, images and backup files remain wherever you save them and must be deleted separately.
We keep contact messages only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, maintain relevant business records and meet legal obligations. Hosting records are retained according to the provider’s operational and security requirements.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure and operate the website or email service. When you accept analytics, Google processes analytics data on our behalf. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom; where data protection law requires it, appropriate transfer safeguards must be used.
We may also disclose information where required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, users or the service.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise a right, email contact@mypuzzlekit.com. We may need information to confirm your identity. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children’s information
My Puzzle Kit can be used by teachers, parents and families, but users should avoid entering a child’s personal information. Children should use the service with appropriate adult guidance.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
