How many words can I add to one worksheet?
Add between 1 and 20 words. Your worksheet shows exactly the number of unique words you enter; it is not fixed to 10. Each word must contain 2–20 English letters.
Can I use my own words or a ready-made topic?
Yes. Enter your own words separated by commas or new lines, or choose one of the 30 ready-made topics. Duplicate words are merged. Phrases, numbers and punctuation are not supported in Word Scramble.
How do first-letter hints work?
Turn on first-letter hints to show the first letter of the correct word beside each answer line. The remaining letters stay hidden. You can turn hints off at any time.
Where can I find the answers?
Turn on Answer key above the preview to see the correct words. The PDF includes a worksheet followed by a separate answer-key page. Print also includes both pages.
What is the difference between PDF and PNG?
PDF contains the A4 worksheet and its answer key on separate pages. PNG downloads the current preview only, so turn Answer key on or off before downloading the image.
Why does a word fail to scramble?
A word needs at least two different letters. Entries such as AA cannot be rearranged into a different order. Use English words with 2–20 letters and no spaces or punctuation.
Can I save a scramble and edit it later?
Yes. Generate your worksheet, then choose Save current puzzle below the preview. Give it a name and collection. My puzzles keeps the exact scrambled letters, answer key and hint setting in this browser on this device.
Where is my scramble draft saved?
The last generated word list, title and hint setting are saved in this browser on this device. Generate after editing your words to save the new list. Clearing browser data removes the draft; it does not sync across devices.
